Aristocracy - Order of the Night
The vampires live in a strict aristocracy where order is decided by performed ritual thus begetting power and stature. Vampires are very peculiar about those they give power to. Today's servant may be tomorrow's master.

Blood
A Blood Vampire is a direct descendant from the Dark One. They are known as his children, many of which occupy the Circle of Nim. They are the purest and strangest of all vampires exhibiting odd personas and random personal ability even though they are from the same descent. Although many other vampires are created by ritual and fang, the Blood Vampires as their very name suggests are created through that of body and birth as well as ritual.

The Dark One has at times taken brides every few centuries when afflicted with sexual desire. From these brides are born to him the children he holds most dear. The children are not given power, land or inheritance; they simply are born with access to it all. They may go anywhere and do anything they wish, wholly accepted by the entire Vampire Nation. Although Blood are the Dark One's Children and thus most highly cherished, they are not immune from punishment by their most unholy father. At times when their pure blood and lust get the better of them they have been known to relish illegal activities that the Vampire Nation considers most alarming, such as public massacres and revelation.

Chosen

The Chosen are fully blooded vampires produced by dark ritual without the direct bloodline to the Dark One. Chosen are responsible for making powerful new vampires which in turn reign over man and govern protected areas of vampire interest. The entire Shadow Council is comprised of Chosen Vampires. This gives them the ability to maintain their own ranks with fresh blood so to speak.

A Chosen Vampire is directly responsible for any being they ritualize into the Vampire Nation. In the event that a vampire turns rogue or falls out of favor, it is up to the Chosen who brought the vampire into the folds of darkness to exact punishment and in some cases, death.

Blooded
Blooded Vampires are considered to be the lieutenants of the Chosen, directly enforcing and carrying out the wishes of their dark masters. Blooded vampires are transformed by the fang of the chosen, giving them incredible strength and longevity. Blooded Vampires who rise above their brethren due to extraordinary action and accomplishment are often considered to be ritualized into the ranks of the Chosen.

Half Breed
A Half Breed is a vampire which has been bitten by a Blooded Vampire. Half Breeds are considered to be the base of the Vampire Nation. Having been bitten by Blooded Vampires comes with both positive and negative effects pertaining to their once human bodies. Half Breed's gain a substantial amount of naturally embodied strength after being ritualized by a Blooded Vampire. They also benefit from not having to drink blood, eating as a normal human, nor does their strength wane with the coming and going of the night. However their longevity is still that of a normal human. For a Half Breed to become anything more, they must be blooded into vampire society. Something that does not occur with any regularity.

Nation Acolyte
To further blend in with an unsuspecting society the Vampire Nation recruits humans. From lawyers, doctors, police, politicians and more the vampires always make sure they have direct connections in the society they feed upon. This allows the Vampire Nation deep inroads into the heart of cities ripe for blackmail and corruption. Humans who hold positions of power in society and prove their worth in helping the vampires are officially inducted into the vampires dark underground world as Nation Acolytes.

They enjoy all the benefits and perks the Vampire Nation could offer a willing defector of humanity. From comfortable surroundings to supplemental cash reserves, bodyguards, slaves, drugs, career advancement and more. The Vampire Nation can make you an empowered agent of the dark among man or simply destroy everything you have and love if they find you disagreeable.

Most Nation Acolytes live out their days as humans often dying of old age and little material want. Those who are extremely helpful to the Vampire Nation often opt for early retirement from their illustrious occupations. This allows them to join the Vampire Nation as Blooded, some eventually working their way to become Chosen.

Acolyte Initiate
For the Vampire Nation to fill out the vast numbers of forces they employ worldwide they must constantly cull from the human population. Unlike a Nation Acolyte who is chosen for their position in society, Acolyte Initiates are chosen to directly work within the Vampire Nation. Newly chosen Initiates under the careful watch of Half Breeds and Blooded work the streets in a violent enforcing fashion. Used as a proxy force, the Initiates embark on hosts of missions committing all sorts of crimes.

During this entire time initiates do not know whom they work for. Thinking they are part of an organized crime syndicate or gang they are tested in many ways. In the end those who pass the tests are inducted as Acolyte Initiates. Their eyes are opened as to the reality of the Vampire Nation. From this point they will serve as low level enforcers of the Vampire Nation for a while yet to come. Eventually those who stand out and prove themselves will be inducted as Half Breeds, thus officially joining the blood line of vampires at its lowest level.

Caske
A Caske ranks as a form of vampire although they have the distinction of never being bitten or ritualized. A Caske is a human that has willingly been possessed by a Chosen Vampire and is now nothing more than an obedient slave that serves their master's will. Although entirely human in appearance, the human host is no longer aware of its body or functions as they are now directly linked to their possessor. Once a human submits for a master vampire to dominate its body it remains as a prisoner, witnessing the deeds its new master directs upon it.

Caskes are possessively maintained by mental link to their master. They directly feed off their masters physically projected energies and as a result do not need to eat or drink. Master vampires controlling Caskes must maintain higher levels of energy otherwise the Caskes will wither and eventually die.

Since Caskes are mentally detached from their bodies they do not experience pain, thus being able to ignore wounds that would normally lay a human low. Caskes are generally maintained as a sacrificial body for their master's amusement, protection, or both since they are vessels that cannot do anything but their masters will. This makes possessed Caskes the most loyal personal guards a vampire may employ. At the same time both their reduced speed and simple methods of attack hamper a Caske's effectiveness.

When a Caske's master dies, the Caske simply cease all activity they are currently committing and remain motionless, lifeless, trapped inside their body. When the link is severed between Caske and master there is no hope of recovery. If humans find the Caske it is institutionalized for the rest of its life. If found by vampires it is sanitized, as no other vampire is capable of re-establishing the once personal link. On rare occasions during combat other vampires have slain severed Caskes in order to raise them as Husks.

Duguru Husk
A Duguru Husk is a recently deceased living being that has been brought back from the dead for a short period of time. Originally pioneered by a vampire with an archaic background in voodooism, raising Husks is thought to be one of the vampires most testing feats of mental power. Combining the vampires personal ability in the dark arts and their mental strength, powerful vampires may manipulate the now quickly fading energies of deceased bodies. This allows for slowed control and movement of the body until the fading energy has been all but used up.

It has been found that corpses with stronger physical bodies leave behind more trailing energy in which to use. Although this stronger dissipating trail of energy does not extend the amount of time in which the corpse may be controlled, it can be used to commit stronger actions during that time.

As a Husk is no longer occupied by that of a mind or soul it is impervious to pain and emotion. Often used by vampires as means of escape and distraction, a once dead compatriot is more than enough to erode enemy morale as the Husk comes back to life assaulting those nearby. Vampires that tend to focus on their mental powers as opposed to their physical abilities are able to control Husks for longer periods of time. This allows them to better manage the remaining energies of the now dead individual.

Inconnu

Not all of the Vampire Nation's ranks are filled by the aristocracy of the night. Nor are all vampires enemies human or rogue vampires themselves. Long before the vampire was perversely created were beings hiding in the corners and imaginations of mankind's mind. The vampires have sought these once rumored apparitions and the knowledge they possess in order to work with or harness their power. From humans with amazing powers to genetic experiments with deceptive underlying strengths, the Vampire Nation has gone to great lengths in researching supernatural and abnormal phenomena.
