Popularity Contest

My company policy concerning who sculpts what, is that it is my business and no one elses. Why? Simple. I would like all RKE sculpts to be judged on thier own merit instead of based on how popular a sculptor is or how well known. I don't need to use a sculptors name to make money and I don't want a fan following of "certain" miniatures. Several large and small companies do this, several don't. It is my personal preference.

Now you say, "What about giving hard working sculptors credit who sculpt you're ideas and make you money." No problem says I. If they need a job reference or include the minis in thier portfolio, no big deal. If they want to publicly say they sculpted something it's up to them. But when it comes to my website and all the minis are lined up, again, I want them judged as they are without outside popularity contests affecting the vocal popularity of the mini. I don't want less popular sculptors or less known sculptors be given less accolades due to fandom (Which turns into fanDum). I would like to see all the sculpts judged on just how good they are.

In the end I prefer all my product to be treated on equal grounds when someone visits. It's that simple.
